KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown downed visiting West Chester, 3-2, Saturday afternoon in a PSAC Eastern Division showdown, handing the Golden Rams their first loss of the season and snapping the team's 15-match and 22-game win streak.
West Chester (15-1, 1-1 PSAC East) was extended to five games for the first time in 2007, and Kutztown was equal to the task, topping the Rams 15-10 in that decisive tilt.
Kristen Decker recorded 18 kills and 38 digs while Lisa Yeasted posted 46 assists in the losing effort. Jacqueline Vivanco also registered 29 digs and three service aces. Michelle Powers knocked down 16 kills, and Jenna Burd had 10.
The Golden Rams will try to get back on track when they travel to Shippensburg on Tuesday.
